Hi Mike, nice idea this series, excited to follow along!
One question: you mentioned you have about a 1000 people on your pre-launch list and ~20 paying customers. Would you mind going into a bit more detail about how you got those first customers and potential customers?

Thanks and good luck with the launch!

Hey Mike, thanks for the video!

As you said, this is the first video and it covers the background of Bluetick.

For the next video, can you give a rough outline of what you plan to do in the next 21 days before launch (e.g. weekly target milestones)? Because for the background you just gave, it’s a lot of implementation details (e.g. have to check the website works and install google analytics etc)–it’s hard for the viewer to follow your journey without a high-level view of the map and the overall path you are aiming for (e.g. right now 5 main things are missing for launch. 1 is done. Aiming to get 2 done this week. 2 needs to be done next next week for this blocking reason etc.)

I think engagement and retention for the next daily videos of the series would be much higher if users can more easily follow where you are trying to go, almost like those TV drama series that users keep coming back to one episode after another.

    Thanks!

@JJ: That’s sort of a lengthy conversation so I’ll handle that separately. I was considering a short e-book on the customer validation & early customer side of things.
@Henry: Great point. I’ll do a higher-level overview with the next video and see if that helps clarify things a bit more. I can adjust things from there moving forward.

Great idea with the video series. I am always interested in the ‘real’ behind the scenes way these roll outs progress. Thanks.

Nice to see you under way. Choosing a start I think becomes something you just have to choose as things will always need more. Good luck
